English: Statement in Arabic of the Muhakkimah sect from Early Islam, progenitors of the Ibadiyyah, who said, "La Hukmu Illa Li-llah", that there is no judgement except for God. This was the slogan of those who opposed Ali Ibn Abi Talib's opting for arbitration with Muawiyyah during the Battle of Siffin — they believed in doing that he went against what they viewed as a clear instruction in the Qur'an to fight the rebels until they repent. This particular saying depicts the allegation of the Muhakkimah that Ali Ibn Abi Talib was not judging by the Qur'an but instead ruling by other than what God had revealed. They based this saying on Qur'an 40:12.
