章魚 (Chiuⁿ-hî)，臺灣話 (Tâi-oân-oē)嘛 (mā)講 (kóng)thá庫 (khò͘)，石距 (chio̍h-kī)，石距 (chio̍h-kū)，是 (sī)所有 (só͘-ū)屬 (sio̍k)Octopoda類 (lūi)的 (ê)頭足類 (thâu-chiok-lūi)海洋 (hái-iûⁿ)動物 (tōng-bu̍t)。遮的 (Chia-ê)動物有 (ū)4對 (tùi)手臂 (chhiú-pì) (mā ē-sái kóng是跤 (kha))。怹的 (In-ê)喙 (chhùi)生 (seⁿ)佇 (tī)8車 (ki)手臂的中心 (tiong-sim)。章魚一般 (it-poaⁿ)內 (lāi)外 (goā)攏 (lóng)無 (bô)骨格 (kut-keh)，會當 (ē-tàng)軁 (nǹg)過 (koè)真 (chin)提 (e̍h)的工間 (kong-kan)。比起 (Pí-khí)其他 (kî-thaⁿ)的無脊椎 (bô-chek-chui)動物，章魚算 (sǹg)是智力 (tì-le̍k)較 (khah)權 (koân)的一 (chi̍t)類。
