1967年Ngũgĩ伊所寫的小說 (A)Grain of Wheat表現 (piáu-hiān)出伊為Fanon主義 (chú-gī)佮Marx主義贊聲 (chàn-siaⁿ); (kāng)彼年,伊嘛開始佇Nairobi大學做教授教英國 (Eng-kok)文學。伊繼續 (kè-sio̍k)佇大學教冊教10 (tang)中間 (tiong-kan)嘛佇Makerere做師寫 (su-siá)創作 (chhòng-chok)研究 (Gián-kiù) (Oân)其中 (Kî-tiong)伊嘛捌有1東佇西北大學的英國佮非洲研究系客座 (kheh-chō) (khò)後來 (Āu-lâi)伊就放棄 (hòng-khì)用英語寫作,嘛放棄彼 (ê)號做James Ngugi,失民 (sit-bîn)主義 (chiá)的名;[8] (kàu)1970年伊共伊的名改做Ngũgĩ wa衷'阿,[9] 開始用伊的母語 (bó-gí)Gikuyu (ōe)來寫作.[10]
