營養不良 (Êng-ióng-put-liông)是 (sī)指 (chí)食植 (chia̍h-si̍t) (diet) 的 (ê)量 (liōng)抑 (ia̍h)這 (chit)無 (bô)適當 (sek-tong),造成 (chō-chiâⁿ)健康 (kiān-khong)出 (chhut)問題 (būn-tê)。大份 (Toā-hūn)是食 (chia̍h)想 (siūⁿ)少 (chió),吸收 (khip-siu)bái,抑營養素 (êng-ióng-sò͘)無齊全 (chiâu-chn̂g)造成的營養無到 (êng-ióng-bô-kàu) (undernutrition); 有時 (ū-sî)是指食想濟 (chē)頁 (ia̍h)某物 (bó͘-mih)營養素想濟造成的營養過渡 (êng-ióng-koè-tō͘) (overnutrition)。準若 (Chún-nā)長 (tn̂g)時間 (sî-kan)營養素的量佮 (kap)這無合 (ha̍h)健康食植 (healthy diet) 的要求 (iau-kiû),就 (tō)會 (ē)造成營養不良; 嚴重到地 (giâm-tiōng--kàu-tè)就變成 (pìⁿ-chiâⁿ)要支 (iau-ki) (starvation)。
