美洲獅 (Bí-chiu-sai)，或者 (he̍k-chiá)山獅 (soaⁿ-sai)，學名 (ha̍k-miâ)Puma concolor,^[2]英語 (Eng-gí)名 (miâ)有 (ū)cougar，puma等等 (téng-téng)。怹 (In)是 (sī)Puma屬 (sio̍k)的 (ê)大型 (toā-hêng)貓科 (niau-kho)，生活 (seng-oa̍h)佇 (tī)美洲 (Bí-chiu)，對 (tùi)北 (Pak)美洲的Yukon到 (kàu)南 (Lâm)美洲的Andes山龍 (Soaⁿ-lêng)攏 (lóng)有分佈 (hun-pò͘)。

美洲獅有時 (ū-sî)嘛 (mā)方 (hong)叫 (kiò) "美洲豹 (bí-chiu-pà)"，總是 (chóng-sī)有另外 (lēng-goā)一 (chi̍t)款 (khoán)Panthera屬的貓科嘛叫美洲豹 (Panthera onca)。
